Question by Anono: Is it medically possible to find a cure for eczema?
I know there isn’t one at the moment but is there any hope for the millions of people with this particular skin disease? Considering there isn’t cures for certain diseases such as HIV/AIDS, certain STD’s etc. It makes me wonder, will I be doomed with such a curse?

My brother had it since he was born, really severe all over his body! My dad put vasiline all over him everday after he got out the shower, and now he is 11 and its pretty much cleared up sometime it gets bad on some spots. So I would say vasiline works really good.

I have eczema and use organic products to treat it. Also, we are what we eat. Our body can cure itself of many things by avoiding sugar, processed foods, dairy products and eating dead animals.
Also, avoid using anything on your skin that has a fragrance. Try a diet of organic fruits and veggies and use organic products on your skin and in a very short time you should notice a big difference on how you feel and look.
Also, try our ‘Sebderm’ group on Yahoo for many other suggestions.

The main cause of eczema is overreaction of the immune system. Identifying certain foods, chemicals, etc can be very helpful in battling this disease. I try to avoid soy and milk products which trigger my flare-ups.
After using number of prescription drugs I’ve turned to the natural treatments.
Now I use herbal remedies from serenaskin.com, which aim at the root of the disease – the immune system, and are steroid-free.
After about 2 weeks of using ointment and spray my skin has been cleared up and now I just continue with anti-eczema extract, which controls the immune system. My skin has been clear for months now.
It is the only treatment I have found that provides me complete relief when I use it as directed.

The main goal of eczema treatment is losing itchy to prevent infection. When skin feels so dry and itchy, lotion and moisturizing cream was recommended to moisten the skin. This action must be done when the skin is still “little wet”, such as: after take a bath.
Corticosteroids ointment or cream, such as: hydrocortisone is given to reduce the inflammation process.
The physician will give corticosteroid tablet to the harder case, but if the eczema area had infected, eczema can be given antibiotics.
Another drugs to cure for eczema is antihistamine. It has a function to reduce the hardest itchy, and cyclosporine to the patient that not have the response to all treatment.
