What causes contact dermatitis on on her chin and around her mouth?
Dribble from saliva and lip-licking.
Saliva contains the digestive enzyme Amylase so in fact it tries to digest your skin around the mouth!
Lots of " lippy "around the mouth or a barrier cream would help.

I don't know if youcan inherit contact dermatitis, but i do know skin sensitivities are inherited. I have contact dermititis, and it is caused by allergies/sensitivities, treated with steroid creams, the problem with this is it thins the skin. The trick is to find out what is causing the allergy and avoid similar chemicals, the doctor can help in identifying the chemical and what other things contain it, with control the condition can be cured x

Unfortunately yes, it is inherited. Keep her clean and away from dust.
Do not use normal soap, gel or cream in her shower or bath.
Do not let her bath more than 12 minutes at a time. Dry her immediately and put on moisturizer with 5 minutes of drying her.
Change bedsheets often, once in 2-3 days would be wise.
Do not let her come into contact with pets for prolong period.
Do not let her use the heater without a humidifer.
