How can I control the itch of eczema?
Posted by: Alan in eczema treatment, tags: control, Eczema, Itch
I’ve tried a couple creams that the doctor gave me and changed my soap to one without dyes or perfumes,Wearing shorts and short sleeves helps but what do I do when it’s cold?

My son suffered from eczema from the age of 6 months until he was about 12 years old. It was so severe when he was a baby that it required hospitalization. We did everything imaginable and used both prescription and non-prescription creams. Like you, it was always worse in the winter. The only thing that seemed to help, aside from the strong cortisone based creams was frequent application of Eucerin cream to control the dryness of his skin, and a week in the Florida sun in February!. Good luck. Hopefully, it will go away.

The main cause of eczema is overreaction of the immune system. Identifying certain foods, chemicals, etc can be very helpful in battling this disease. I try to avoid soy and milk products which trigger my flare-ups.
After using number of prescription drugs I’ve turned to the natural treatments.
Now I use herbal remedies from serenaskin.com, which aim at the root of the disease – the immune system, and are steroid-free.
After about 2 weeks of using ointment and spray my skin has been cleared up and now I just continue with anti-eczema extract, which controls the immune system. My skin has been clear for months now.
It is the only treatment I have found that provides me complete relief when I use it as directed.

The easiest way – pack of ice. You can also try the good ole Cortizone cream from the pharmacy or the Champori anti-eczema cream from the internet. This one works great for me.
Cheers,
