I have the solution for you but, it’s not over the counter.
My niece and my daughter both had eczema. My niece was so bad she would even bleed. My sis told me that the Dr rx “ELIDEL” and that she was seeing a huge difference. My niece still gets a little flare up here and there but, never really bad like how it used to be.
And for my daughter well, it went away and never came back.
In the meantime, wash baby with cool water and make sure you dry the creases really well, air dry for a little while and apply some pure “corn starch” until you get the rx from the Dr.(Yes, the one you use to cook) *** put the corn starch box in the fridge so it becomes cold and then apply it so baby feels the cooling effects since the areas are so hot***
Get the rx before the weather becomes too hot out because during the summer it will become unbareable and baby will try to scratch too much.
Let me know if you tried it and how it worked for you and baby. This is a miracle cream. You start seeing the results the very next day.
******DO NOT USE HYDROCORTISONE PRODUCTS *****
***BABY’S SKIN IS TOO THIN AND BLEEDING WILL OCCUR******

hydrocortisone works great for me. You can buy it at the phramacy in tubes.

My daughter has very dry skin and we use aquaphor and we love it. Just a note on the Elidel it was recalled and then recently put back on the shelf with the warning that it may cause cancer. I am not real sure of the details but I wanted you to know.

If you want to go with natural stuff, consult a homeopathic doctor in your area. You will get much better advice specific for your baby than what you would get on the internet. You also want to choose one that is not anti-traditional medicine as there simply are cases that need current medications. For instance, my exzema is untreatable by herbal or homeopathic traditions primarily because of where it is located (ear canal). A baby may have other concerns.

    Hi
Hydrocortisone is not approved for use on children under the age of two without a doctors recommendation – small print on the packs.
There is a great site for advice on eczema for kids skin. It lets you check out different childrens products.
You could probably use a number of their products but not the flare control cause its hydrocortisone too
    good luck

I used to have a problem with eczema every winter, but didn’t this past one! Make sure you put lotion on (my favorite was curel) after you get out of the shower. Especially on your arms and legs. Hydrocortizone cream is the best non-prescription, but you have to make sure to use it regularly. I think I liked Elidel if you are looking for a prescription creme.
