I am being treated for what I suppose is considered eczema or atopic dermatitis. I have a dime sized red itchy spot on the right side of my face and two pea sized dots on the left. The are itchy and red and they flake and peel. After a week of flare ups I finally went to the dermatologist. He basically took a quick look got my symptoms and said he didn’t really have an answer. He prescribed atopiclair, a cream I have been applying for six days now. It has begun stinging for a few minutes when I apply it and occasionally makes the spots redder. Not bigger just redder. The doctor didn’t really tell me what I had an after some research I figured it out for myself. I am a teen. After this reading I have become paranoid. Will my eczema really ever go away? Am I going to be forever afflicted with having to apply creams and worry about my face? Is it true that things will get worse and redder before they get better? Will I forever have an itching condition that has no cause? What can I do?! I hate this please help!!!!!

Hi, you can try one of the natural treatments available on the Internet (just google “natural treatment of eczema”) – some of them do work. For my eczema I use herbal cream by Champori quite successfully. It takes just a couple of weeks to clear the spots and then they stay clear for months on end.
Try it: Champori comes with money back guarantee so if it doesn’t work – it’s free.

I have the same issue except the spots are on my arms. I have tried dozens of creams and never been able to find a good one-until now. Its called hydro-cortisone plus (with 12 moisturizers & aloe). It is fairly cheap and you can get it at wall walmart in a white and green tube. If this doesn’t help try other creams but whatever you do don’t try coco butter-I don’t care what it says on the bottle I promise you it feels like your face is on fire.

Try using Dr Hess Udder Ointment found at http://www.udderointment.com. It is really, really good and works really well on dry skin. I used it on all my kids and use it on myself as well for any skin dryness, eczema, chafing etc. I get really dry arms in the winter and it clears it overnight.
