What Is “irritant Contact Dermatitis”?
Posted by: Alan in Contact Dermatitis, tags: Contact, Dermatitis, Irritant, What
it is very irritating. Really though, I had it and still get it every now and then, something (we have not figured it out yet) I come into contact with during the spring and summer sets it off, and it really reminded me of poison ivy or oak. I had to get a steroid to take care of it.

An allergic reaction on the skin to something your skin has been exposed to, such as rough fabric, laundry detergent, soap, lotion, etc. If your skin is sensitive to the “irritant” you will get an itchy rash where contact was made.
Benydryl cream and cortisone cream will help, but the best thing is to find out what caused the irritation and stop using it.
