Has Anyone Ever Gotten A Rash From A Houseplant?

I was working with a houseplant….cutting it off and going to try to reroot it in water…I developed a rash that spread from my hands to my arms and all over my face. the doctor told me that it was contact dermatitis….have had it for almost 3 weeks…it is getting better but the itching almost drove me nuts…anyone else ever have the same problem?

Yes, I have. It was with a tropical plant. I can’t tell you the name of it. But it was awful. I never touched that plant again and had my brothers pull it out and remove it from the yard.

Yes you could. Probably some allergic reaction.
