Hi! I am on the following medications:
Allegra-D 24-hour qd (for allergies)
Biaxin 500 mg bid (sinusitis)
Flovent 440 mcg bid (asthma)
Benadryl 50 mg q4h prn (I get a lot of rashes, so this is used and OK’d by my dermatologist to be taken with the Allegra-D, even though it’s 2 antihistamines — right now it’s for eczema and some contact dermatitis/hives)
… and now what I’m thinking of taking is a DuoNeb nebulizer treatment (Albuterol inhailer isn’t cutting it, and last time it was this bad, neither did the Xopenex, so I had to be put on oral steroids and DuoNeb [atrovent and albuterol]).
Can these things be taken together? Thanks so much!

You should be able to take those meds together I have given similar combinations. I am not sure about taken the Flovent and the Duo Nebs though since those are both steroids.
As for the ches pain that is not normal I have seen Albuterol cause palpitations, atrial fibrillation so chest pain is a serious adverse reactions. I recommend you go to the ER for the chest pain and consult with your PCP and/or pharmacist regarding an compatability issues.

Never ask a question of such significance on this site. 95% of the people on it don’t know anything about medication interaction. Your doctor should have advised you of what you can expect from taking all these medications at the same time. Take your list to a pharmacist (your pharmacist would be advisable) and have him review the assortment with you. He will tall you if you can be in danger….high blood pressure, low blood pressure, skin irritation, blurred vision, etc.

You might want to check your blood pressure, taking all those antihistamines will raise it considerably due to dilation of blood vessels.

If you can’t get to a pharmacist immediately, check the drugs against each other at http://www.drugdigest.org/DD/Interaction…

Ring your local pharmacist for professional advice over the phone. It costs nothing and is the safe choice.

Call a pharmacy. Pharmacists will tell you (for free) whether or not you can take certain medications together.

Why are you asking people on Yahoo? I wouldn’t trust responses on a forum like this for that kind of question.
I worked with a man once whose daughter died when she took a night time medicine like Nyquil with her allergy medicine. She was 30 years old with three kids.
Don’t mess around. Talk to your doctor and your pharmacist before taking anything else. You are on too much now. (Allegra stinks!!!) Your pharmacist is a good source of information for this kind of thing.

The person you should be asking is a pharmacist. He/She will be able to look all of the drugs up and tell you if there are any interactions.

No, 2 or 3 of these drugs will raise your blood pressure, which is not good at all. ♥

..there should not be any pharmacological interactions..though your individual responce may be affected …..like two antihistamines together will get you more drowsy. yes blood pressure is a serious concern too.. that needs to be closely monitored,…and you read what Frank. R has already said .. …by the way high doses of steroids for long time is not at all good for your health…bye take care
