i have a rash on my face that keeps breaking out,my doctor at one time thought it was roseacea,it just recently got the worse its ever been,it got infected so i went to the hospital and the doc there prescribed me some cephlaxin,an antibiotic,i been taking it for 5 days so far and it seemed to help with the swelling and infection but now may face is worse again,i have been eating quite a bit of garlic, raw and cooked,i have had this on my face for years and it has just dawned on me that i may be allergic to garlic, with roseacea you get red fine lines which i do not have, has anyone out there have the same as me,i am thinking it can be contact dermatitis because of the garlic.this really bothers the self esteem.

Ppl can be allergic to anything. Take away the garlic for 1 month. Then re-introduce it back Very slowly. Try it cooked, in an extremely small amnt and see if you break out. Then, try it raw in extemely small amnt. 2 wks. later. I have a toddler w/ severe food allergies. Whenever I introduce new foods, I have to do it Very slowly in small amnts and watch for symptoms. Symptoms can occur up to 3-5 days after eating the food. If you notice that you are allergic when its ingested, try rubbing it on your arm to see if you have a reaction, but try this at least 2 wks. after eating it. By the way, this is called a food challenge. If you find that you are allergic, make an appt. w/ an allergist; they can test you and tell you how allergic you are on a point system.
