Herpes And Valtrex Question?

Is it possible to get a outbreak of herpes after taking valtrex two days earlier for a week. Now I have a sore down there. Could it be something else and I’m just scared for nothing. I was taking the Valtrex for what a doctor thought was shingles and a cold sore at the same time. But a dermatologist sad NO- he believed it was contact dermatitis. Please help

I’m not sure, but i still think you can get outbreaks on valtrex. It’s supposed to reduce the occurrences, so nothing is 100% when it comes to herpes
