based on pictures on the web, apparently my itching is either contact dermatitis or sun-based – although the latter is questionable because i am not often out in the sun and the areas of my itch include covered ones. as to contact dermatitis, i cannot identify what exactly is causing this itch.
i have rashes and scaly plaques already that frequently itch all day despite the lotion. it started in my feet, spread to my hands and now is practically in every part of my body.
i never had this condition before.

You should visit your dermatologist again, but I have a few hints.
Topical corticosteroids provide the best control if inflammation. Soaks and emollients (mineral oil, petrolatum, jojoba, olive, or coconut oil and refined lanolin) help keep the skin moist. Systemic antihistamines such as Benadryl help relieve itching and inflammation. Calamine cream or lotion works great as well. It can be used 3-4 times a day, but
the amount of medicine that you take depends on the strength of the medicine. Also, the number of doses you take each day, the time allowed between doses, and the length of time you take the medicine depend on the medical problem for which you are using the medicine.
It is important to keep the skin moisturized and avoid possible irritants.
New clothing should be washed before wearing and mild detergent should be used for laundry. Also, keeping a room temperature at 68-75 degrees farenheit with 45%-55% humidity helps.
    Hope this helps :)

Sounds like you might have eczema. My husband has this and has suffered with it for 8 years now. The best thing that helps his itch is Gold Bond medicated lotion. It helps with the itch but doesn’t make the rash actually go away. This is just how he manages it. Hope this helps and if you ever find anything that helps let me know. We have yet to find anything that makes it go away.

Since this rash has been spreading all over your body for 2 months you really have to see a dermatologist. They will be able to help figure out whats causing this rash and also prescribe medicines to help both with getting rid of the rash AND help the itch subside:)
But in the meantime, I wouldn’t recommend using calamine lotion consistently for long periods. It works partly by drying out your skin so my guess is if you use it a lot then it may make your rash and itching even worse.
Until you can see a doctor maybe try oatmeal baths. They sell a powder at the drugstore (Aveeno makes one plus there’s usually a store brand). It may not be the best idea to add a new product, but Aveeno also makes a line of products called “Ultra Calming” that really help with redness/itchiness. They’re designed more for rosacea on your face, etc but I get a HORRIBLE version of sun rash if I go out without sunscreen. I use the face wash on my arms/neck & the redness gets better immediately and so does the itching. Also aloe gel is always good.
Anywaysss, that was really long sorry- hope it helps a little.
edit- somehow your update didn’t show up? Anyway, I’d recommend going to a new dermatologist who can figure out exactly whats causing this.
