What Is This And What Can I Do For This Rash From He??!!?

I have had a rash since i went into lake michigan over a week ago. It started on my knees- i went to see a doc- he said take antibiotics and some powder to clear it up. At this time it spread to my other joints and was weeping yellow pus itchy burning and cant put my legs down to even walk from feeling like the blood was going to explode out of my swollen knees.There are parts that have gone down to the tissues – i look like its eating me away and is bloody too. Went to E.R. doc – couldnt handle it anymore. He put me on steroids- and the E.r. doc calls me the next day to see if any improvement- i said no. He suggests a dermatologist. I cant get into one for 3-4 months…. this thing is eating me alive and I dont know how much more i can take- what should I do? and what can cause something to act like contact dermatitis but yet nothing gets rid of it. Its not an allergen but looks like it would be??????

You need to make an appt. with another Dermatologist. You should not have to wait that long for a condition like yours. Do you think you may have poison ivy, poison oak or poison sumac, since you were at the lake. You should try something to calm your skin. Aloe gel or Aveeno oatmeal bath, anything mild and soothing.
