Having spent a fortune on makeup recently as I’ve had a problem for a while with my eyes, the doctor told me it was contact dermatitis from something I’m using on them. I tried lots of makeup (Clinique – hypoallergic), then thought it was lanolin so spent a fortune on No.7 range which is lanolin free, I wore this for 3 days in a row and thought it was working, I was so happy, then I woke up this morning with huge puffy, red and itchy eyes just like before. I then read on internet that it maybe bismuth oxychloride which is in a lot of makeups and can cause my symptoms and that I should try mineral makeup so I’ve ordered two samples from Lily lolo and bare essentials, fingers crossed! To be honest I’m so down and feel like there’s nothing I can do. I get married in 4 months and keep thinking it’ll be a disaster because I can’t seem to wear any makeup. Does anyone have any info to help me, I feel so down about this.

Bismuth oxychloride is an ingredient that a lot of mineral makeup companies put in their product as a replacement for talc as it is a cheap filler but unfortunately can be a skin irritant to a lot of people. If you still want to stick to mineral make up (as I saw your question said you were looking for mineral-FREE makeup), Everyday Minerals (everydayminerals.com) is an excellent choice for someone who needs the coverage (they have different coverage options, matte, semi-matte, glow) and only contains 4 ingredients or less, Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxide, and Zinc Oxide none of which are bismuth oxychloride. It also comes at an affordable price, a large 8g container costs like 12 bucks. You can also get free samples to find your shade.

I have tried so many from Bare Minerals, Sheer cover to
Be-luscious. All of these products either contain filler ingredients which don’t do anything for your skin or they include irritants. I use kms mineral essentials. It only contains 5 essential natural ingredients. I haven’t had any breakouts or irritations to my skin since using it.

I switched from Bare Minerals to kms mineral essentials because I had the same issues as you have had. Bare Minerals/Escentuals has bismuth in it. I am not sure about Lily Lolo as they have been tight lipped about their actual ingredients.
Kms is an all natural mineral makeup that only has the 5 necessary ingredients needed in a mineral makeup. Kms also provides free samples as well and they are dedicated to helping you find your shade. I hope this might be another alternative for you. Good luck. You will eventually find your product!
