Im not sure if you can have an allergy to food and the only side effect is sneezing? Eating certain foods make me sneeze lots (no not pepper or spices, I think its bread but im not sure) but its wierd because I dont get itchy or swollen or anything just some foods make me sneeze. But also I have contact dermatitis (if i said it right) since I was young. It means that if I am slapped or hit, or get any form of strong abbrasion/force against any skin on my body, the skin gets very red quickly and the main area of impact gets raised and white like a welt. A doctor told me this could either be very sensitive skin or a food allergy. Like, to give an example. If my back feels itchy, and I scratch it for say 2 seconds. Then it gets even more itchy and i scratch a couple more times, and then I can usually feel that my back feels all bumpy and I look in a mirror, and there are raised nailmarks everywhere I have scratched making a big jagged pattern on my back, and i am not scratching excessively hard or anything. When I get an itch, it does not go away unless I just plain ignore it for a very long time, it will keep getting itchier and itcher and spread if i itch it, im always like this. I dont know much about food allergies or skin conditions so if you know about either please leave a reply. Thanks

Yes, a food allergy can cause congestion and sneezing. Everyone’s allergies are different, but it is possible. For example, when I eat chocolate I have an allergy attack as if something in the air is bothering me. The only way to know forsure what your allergic to is by going to an allergist, but you can still manage your allergies yourself. Try cutting out what ever you’re allergic to for about a week and take note of your congestion, sneezing, bloating, upset stomach, energy levels, ect…

It might be a food allergy, or an allergy to something around the food. You need to get to a chiropractor/nutritional specialist. They can advise you on what you need to take to help your sneezing and your contact dermtitis. You would be amazed at what nutritional deficiencies can cause.
For excellent advice, I recommend two doctors, Dr. Bruce West and Dr. Julian Whitaker. They are both in California, but they have websites and toll-free numbers.
You can call Dr. West’s office with questions – 1-800-231-8063. His Health Alert Store link is listed below.
Dr. Whitaker’s number is – 1-888-886-8213, 24 hours, 7 days a week. His site is also listed below.

My son has food allergies and I try to read up as much as possible about them. Food allergies can cause a wide variety of problems but I have never heard of it causing sneezing. A food allergy is an immune system response to a certain food (or foods). After you consume the food, your immune system mistakes it for a virus or bacteria that it needs to fight off and your anitbodies go crazy. Symtoms range from throat swelling, runny nose, hives, eczema, diarrhea and vomiting… among other things.
To be certain, your best bet is to ask a doctor so they can help you figure out if there is an allergy or if it’s something else.
