I’ve had Contact Dermatitis (a type of eczema) since October 2006. I was sleeping in a hotel and the next morning I woke up with the rash all over my hands and legs! It’s been like torture ever since :(
The beginning was the worst.. and has pretty much disappeared except for the scar/marks on my legs. Last night some showed up on the back of my neck too. I used some medicated lotion that my doctor gave me, but now when I itch my skin, it scratches off!
I read somewhere online that soy products could cause eczema. That makes sense because I started drinking soymilk instead of regular milk around the same time the rash appeared. Is soy a common cause of eczema?
I’m 18 if that helps!

It can be inheritated (i think). But soy milk, if you drink it all the time, can cause bumps on your chest (at least I think it was a bump my mom said)
Or it may have been something in the hotel.

Hello there. The etiology of eczema is not known; so nobody knows exactly what causes the flare ups. Some usual suspects are household chemicals (detergents, shampoos, cleaning liquids, etc.) and certain foods (milk, yeast, gluten, etc).
There is an herbal cream and spray from http://www.champori.com that helps to keep my eczema in check: I haven’t had a flare up for more than a year now. And it cleared my patches (hands and face mostly) in just 2.5 weeks. Try it. (it comes with money back guarantee so there is nothing to lose)
    Best,
    Bernadette

until now, there is no certain cause and cure for eczema. but heredity plays a vital role in passing the skin disorder from one generation to another. it may also appear at some point, especially when the immune system is weakened.
even if there is no cure for eczema yet you can prevent it from flaring up by taking steps and knowing what should be avoided.
    - avoid perfumed skin care and body care products
    - avoid extreme hot and cold weather conditions
    - avoid keeping fingernails long
    - avoid scratching the affected area
    - avoid long baths
    - avoid processed foods and foods with preservatives
    - avoid skin irritants and allergens like dusts and pollens
    - avoid clothes and material that are rough, course, scratchy and tight
    - avoid activities that can make you sweat
    - avoid smoking and alcohol
    - avoid too much exposure to extreme hot and cold weather
what will be helpful is the use of an all natural skin care treatment for eczema. try to be gentle with your skin. visit http://www.skinoriginal.com for more tips on how to rejuvenate skin.

hey eczema iz just a skin condition some people are prone to. i am as well so i know how annoying it can be. especially in the mornin wen u get up and want to itch. DONT. use oil on it all the time to make sure it dsnt stay dry and c a doctor cuz i had this cream that reduced the patch and healz it then they give u an injection which heals it the scar you will have to either get removed with lazer or you could use PanOxyl on it (only when its healed. Panoxyl 5 aquagel you can get over the counter and it peals the top layer of your skin on that patch off… use it for a month n ull c its almost gone. home this helps…
