Mother In Law Is Being Treated For A Yeast Infection But…?
Posted by: Alan in Contact Dermatitis, tags: Being, But..., Infection, Mother, Treated, Yeast
around October 7th we all went swimming in an overchlorinated hot tub and my sister in law and I both got urinary tract infection’s and my mother in law supposedly got a yeast infection. However, she is currently on Diflucan for that and Lorazapam to help her sleep and there is no relief, her symptoms are redness and rawness on the outside of the vagina and it just hurts as well as she has been complaining of abdominal pain she has no discharge and no odor. She is also very exhausted. These meds aren’t working and she has contacted several doctors (one who didn’t even look) Is there anything else she can try that isn’t going to have all these side effects and does anyone think it could be irritant dermatitis? Help!!!

Have her try Monistat 7 for her yeast infection. It also has a small tube of cream in the box for her to use on the outside of her private areas to help stop the itching.
She still needs to see a doctor for blood and urine culture tests to make sure there is not anything else wrong.
Good Luck

She needs to see a doctor!! If the one she went to first isn’t doing any good, she needs a second opinion. And that means GO IN PERSON for an appointment – don’t just call and ask them what it is. They need to do blood tests to figure out what kind of infection she has.

She may have a yeast infection and a bladder infection you can have them at the same time. She may have to take a anti- yeast med and anti-biotic at the same time
