Posted by: Alan in Contact Dermatitis, tags: Contact, Dermatitis, Eyes, Help, Under
I’ve had leathery, red, dry, wrinkly skin under my eyes for a week or so. Pretty sure its from something I”m allergic to (contact dermatitis) but I cannot find out what it is that I’m allergic to! I look awful!! AND wondering what makeup tips you can give me to help with this…anytime I put coverup on it it makes it look almost worse! anyone ever dealt with this?

Do me a favor, the diagnosis of Lupus shows signs of “Red eye syndrome” and that red rashes appear under the eyes and under the eyelids also. I am not in any way a medical professional, nor can I give you the proper medical advice, but this sounds like the early symptoms of lupus. It can most definitely be (but not exactly) a contact dermatitis from like a lotion or a face wash or something you have put on your face in the last week or week in a half from an allergy to a chemical in it that you have exposed your face to by accident.
Go to WebMD.com and search Lupus and Contact Dermatitis under this webpage. Under Google search engine (type in WebMD in the search bar under http://www.google.com). You definitely need to see a physician right away to get a referral to a dermatologist or other specialist if you do in fact have Lupus. There is no cure for Lupus, and once someone gets it – it is just a matter of time.
Please see someone like in the ER right away.

You can be tested by your Dr. to see what you are allergic to.
What you are using for a coverup could also be making it worse.
You were born without makeup, keep it off your face.
Why change what your mama gave ya?

Could be a food allergy, probably tree nuts.
