asthma may, eczema is merely skin dryness, so no, atopic dermatitis, same situation, jaundice when baby .will not affect your enlistment. depression meds are looked at on a one to one basis if u can get a letter stating that ur depression is ok by ur psychiatrist u may possibly be able to get a waiver if u quit taking meds. ear tubes in? if ur in water that will effect u. if u had them while young and they are out now,,it will not affect your enlistment. anemia past tense …no concern. braces with or without they are not a concern. depression is!!! you need a letter from your psychiatrist stating that u are no longer what would be considered depressed, no longer need medications, and can function in a rigid, rough, societal structure without cracking. then you have to get a waiver from your recruiter.

    A few questions:

How were you planning to become an officer? ROTC? Your first must determine is you are physically qualified for Army service.

Go see an Army recruiter for help with this issue.

The anti-depressants and depression alone are enough to be a no go.
Asthma is another no go. Doesn’t matter if you’re an officer or not; you can’t make asthma “go away”.

Honestly, if you’re interested- the depression and anti-depressants are hugely in your way. Forget about “kicking you out” they’ll never let you in.

Asthma and Depression are going to be the big ones that may hurt you. Depression especially if you have been on certain medications over the years-some will automatically mean you can’t be in the military. I know if you have ever taken ritalin in your life you can’t join the military. But, you have a few years, wait and apply to a military school and then see what happens. That’s the easiest way to get in and get the job you want. Asthma may just disqualify you from certain jobs as long as it isn’t too bad, but if it is very severe then I would say no.
My husband is a pilot in the Air Force and you have to be perfectly healthy-no health issues ever. Other jobs may not be as bad as that, but with the problems you listed there (unless you grow out of all of them which is always a possibility) then you will not be able to be a pilot.

Asthma after your 13th birthday is disqualifying for entry into the armed forces. So is a history of eczema and atopic dermatitis after your 9th birthday. These standards apply for both enlistment and commissioning.
