essential fatty acid deficiency as cause of atopic dermatitis?

i have gleaned the internet for some information and it SAYS that 73% of eczema sufferers make full recoveries when they take essential fatty acids that regulate/decrease inflammation. any eczema sufferers, or even better, ex-eczema sufferers out there that can attest to this? and what is the connection between zinc and fatty acids, since some articles suggest zinc as well? and how much should be taken, in what forms (eat more fish, or take the oil? does it matter?) i would really appreciate any feedback, especially from doctors and people with this condition!

Ok. Inexpensive and especially non-food-source ’supplements’ have been proven over and over to do more damage to someone’s already damaged liver and no noticeable good effects from their short or long term use. If you ‘ever’ see a study with more than a few people with anecdotal results, let me know. For instance you would think that a thorough study would have been done on Vitamin C curing scurvy in guinea pigs who had obvious symptoms of the disease. But since it is a synthetic, you will never see any such study since it is modern day snake oil – similar to cocacola originally being bottled with cocaine as a health-energy ‘elixir.’ Many people got hooked on it and eventually died from it. The few ‘good’ researchers in the US-FDA has never had the gumption to fight the mega-corp supplement-pharmaceutical industry, so the problem continues. Fatty acids derived from rancid inexpensive oil products, or much worse from petroleum, are all much more toxic than beneficial. Choose to eat a balanced diet of only nutritionally dense organic produce and legumes – and you will recover from your malady as quickly as your body will ever be able to do.
As you continue your investigations I truly hope what you learn will help you to decide on the correct choices that will remedy your difficult malady.
My best to you and yours,

PS – you will also never find that high-sugar-carb ‘fruits’ had never cured any guinea pig of scurvy. But you might learn that guinea pig owners strongly promote eating leafy greens in order to never see scurvy in their guinea pigs. FYI Slightly fermented sauerkraut was the solution for the German navy in order to keep scurvy at bay in their sailors for longer voyages. But even these captains had learned to stop as often as possible in order to gather up as many leafy greens as they could during their voyages.
