I have suffered from eczema for years and have decided to see a specialist (GPs have not been much help). However given that it is a skin condition, but is associated with my immune system, should I see an immunologist or a dermatologist? I know both deal with eczema on a regular basis, but both are very expensive so I want to chose the one who is most likely to improve my condition.

You don’t need to see a doctor for eczema. It is an auto immune disorder that is readily resolved through diet. Take it from someone who went to every expert and took every medication there is for it. If you are willing to change your eating habits you wont need a specialist. Check out the link and scroll through to the part that reads “My Fight with M.R.S.A”.Best of luck.

it’s better to go see a dermatologist who can tell you what kind of eczema you are dealing with. don’t go to a doctor because they only give you creams that can aggravate your eczema more. i myself have suffered from severe chronic eczema for years and recently found out my skin began to clear after regular moisturizing, a good diet without wheat and diary and less stress.
you also might be allergic to something in your diet or within your environment so a dermatologist can take a skin test to find out the causes of your eczema and how to prevent it

I also have issues with my Eczema . I posted my question on wish123 and got an answer from an expert who solved my problem. Highly recommend the website.
