My dermatologist has diagnosed me with contact dermatitis and I have switched to Dove Sensitive Free soap and Tide Free detergent. However, my gynecologist does NOT recommend Vaseline in or around the labia and vagina area. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

One Response to “Is it safe to use Vaseline on and around the labia-vagina area?”
  1. Cassie T says:

    Do NOT use Vaseline.

Vaseline is oil-based. If you put it anywhere even near your vagina, you will have a yeast infection within a day. It’s really, really not good for you.

If you want to use a lubricant, use a water-based lube.
