Is it okay to just grind the instant Quaker Oats Oatmeal and use it in the bath for eczema?
I read that it should be colloidal oatmeal because it is processed differently.
But does it make a big difference? Would it harm me if I used breakfast oatmeal instead of colloidal anyways?

Please answer, and Thank You!

One Response to “Can I use regular Quaker Oats Oatmeal to make an Oatmeal bath for eczema?”

Hi, you should be ok using quaker oats, but you need to focus on what you do when you get out of the bath as well.

Dry skin is one of the major reasons behind eczema. So when you get out of the bath, make sure that you moisturize your body as quickly as possible. The reason for this is that after a warm bath, the pores of your skin will be open, and applying moisturizer straight away will make sure that the moisturizer goes in deeper.

Also try to use a cream which is based in natural ingredients. Aloe Vera is a really effective way to keep your skin moist and healthy, so try this.

You can also use something like coconut oil, which can also be really effective, and has proved to be pretty good for a lot of sufferers.

Because there is no drug that can cure eczema, a lot of people have started to use natural eczema remedies. Many of which can be really effective, perhaps you should look into this a bit more further. You can get some more info about this at the resource below.
