Question by roxanneleahx: Is there any home remedies to clear up eczema in a few days?
I have eczema on my arms, inside upper legs and neck. It used to be a lot worse but it has gradually gotten better, however in the past few weeks it has gotten slightly worse again, especially on my upper legs which are red and inflamed. I am going on holiday on Saturday and need a quick home remedy which will at least slightly clear up these patches. I’m not hoping for it to go away completely, I just want to be a bit less self concious wearing a bikini.

There is no “home” remedy. But there are some not so expensive things you can get in the drug store. Either ask for a cortisone cream (the types you get in drug stores just have low doses) or try using Bepanthen (working ingredient: Dexpanthenol)

Bicarbonate of soda dissolved in water. Dab on and leave to dry.

    A brilliant website is wwwearthclinic.com

there’s a creme/ointment you can get from the chemist called sigmacourt which I use on my son and it seems to help relieve his symptoms. Apparently over heating flares it up, so wearing less clothing can help the clothing being of natural fibres. Also cold towels on the area can soothe it too. Lots of moisturiser too, with as less soap or detergents as possible will help. Good luck.
