Any Remedy At All For Atopic Eczema?
Posted by: Alan in Atopic Eczema, tags: Atopic, Eczema, Remedy
So far, all the doctors that I have seen prescribed me with antihistamines and topical steroids. Isn’t there any other alternatives other than these methods? It works for a time but recurs later. Is there any other proven method of medication that works at all?

Hello there. The proven method that worked for me is the anti-eczema cream and spray from http://www.champori.com It is herbal (without steroids) remedy and it cleared my condition in just under 3 weeks! I haven’t had a relapse in more than a year now. Try it. (if it doesn’t work – it’s free: they offer money back guarantee)
Best,
Bernadette

If there are other ways, the medical practitioner at http://www.romancing-the-soap.com will let you know. There are pages about skin conditions, including eczema. You may want to use the Contact Me form. I did quite a few times, never had to wait long, a matter of hours before I received an answer. Very informative website, leaning on the holistic approach (sounds like the owner is a doc who got fed up with the “traditional” methods!).
I’m sure you can learn a lot from visiting the site. Good luck.

if you are looking for an eczema treatment that is safe and effective, try using an all natural skin care product for it does not have harsh ingredients that can harm the skin.
all natural skin care moisturizer can promote skin healing and can protect the skin from radical damage all through out the day.
you can also help in preventing eczema flares by knowing what to avoid:
- avoid perfumed skin care and body care products
- avoid extreme hot and cold weather conditions
- avoid keeping fingernails long
- avoid scratching the affected area
- avoid long baths
- avoid processed foods
- avoid skin irritants and allergens
- avoid clothes and material that are rough, course, scratchy and tight
try to have proper diet and nutrients to strengthen immune system to effectively fight off skin disease and outgrow them.

There are several treatment options for eczema such as:
1. Oral antihistamines – histamine is responsible for some symptoms of eczema but particularly the itching. Taking antihistamine ensures a good night’s rest.
2. Healing Natural Products – made from the pure essential oils extracted from plants and applied topically to relieve eczema symptoms and to begin the healing process of repairing the skin.
3. Corticosteroids – a topical steroid but only available on prescription from your doctor. It is best to use the lowest effective strength as using high strength topical steroids for periods of time can cause side effects such as thinning of the skin.
4. Coal Tar – this should be used under the supervision of a doctor as it can irritate some people’s skin. Coal tar has a strong smell and can stain clothing.
5. Cyclopsorin oral medication – this medication is sometimes used in helping to manage the symptoms of severe eczema. It reduces the immune system activity which in turn reduces inflammation. However there can be very serious side effects and its use has to be monitored very strictly.
6. Evening Primrose Oil – this is either applied topically or taken in capsule form. This oil contains gamma linolenic acid which is thought to be lacking in some of those who have eczema.
7. Phototherapy – this is another treatment for those with chronic eczema where the patient is exposed to up to 30 sessions of ultraviolet radiation. Expert supervision is required because the risks are the same as for sunbathing namely accelerated aging of the skin and the increased risk of skin cancer.
Therefore if you take good care of your skin and choose a course of treatment that will work, you will go a long way to keeping your eczema under control.

You could try modifying your diet to reduce dairy, and then take a look at the products you are using on your skin. Try to use unperfumed natural products without synthetic chemicals, I find Lush.co.uk good for products. Don’t forget to check things like washing powder for clothes that can irritate too

Stay away from the Steroids in the best advice anyone can give you, the steroids seem to put the eczema in recession, then when the eczema comes back, it comes back with vengeance. Using the natural answer would be leaning towards repcillin from Africa; it contains Nile crocodile peptides that have amazing results for eczema.
