I have Atopic Dermatitis, or Eczema like you but i am from america. I dont know what you have access to in South Africa. There is no cure for it other then to try and stay away from what you are allergic too. I use a cream called Elidell or elcon when i am bad, the doctors gave it to me. another good thing, is while taking a bath, Soak for 30 minutes and while under the water put Vaseline (brand name) or Petroleum Jelly on yoru skin under hte water. It traps the moisture in. It really helped. I did it twice a day for several weeks. Also, applying a moisturizing lotion on at least twice a day will help immensely! A good one. Stay away from oils and fragerance if possible. If you have any of these brand names, they are good choices for lotion. Eucerin, Aquaphor, Lubidrem, Olay Quench body lotion. These have all proved to work quite well for me. Hope this helps. I had bad ezcema and after these treatments its much much better.

There are several different types and subtypes of eczema; therefore there are several different treatments.
Here is a website dedicated to providing comprehensive information to patients and all of their content has been reviewed by an independent board of medical advisors to ensure that their information is accurate.
I think you’ll find this site very helpful. Have a great day and good luck. =)http://www.eczemaguide.ca/
