No, nothing to do with it, many people have allergies to cats.

Not likely. Your allergy is actually to a protein in the cat’s dander.
I suggest you stay away from cats as much as possible and take an antihistamine (but check with your health care provider first)

No, its not. Actually it’s the other way around. Most people who have one allergy are likely to have more, its called an “allergic constitution”, you know, allergies in the make up of your systems etc. It’s like why some people are prone to headaches etc. The thing is, we all have some sort of problem in our bodies. I have many allergies, and on top of this rhinitis (sinus condition) and eczema, the doctors say due to this allergic constitution thingy (I know, it sounds really technical!!)
So, personally, I’d just advise you to try and keep your allergies at bay by mabe taking something?
Hope this cleared things up for you.
P.S: neoclaritin, ask your doctor for it. If you ever have any allergy related problems, a reaction or your eczema getting really itchy, you take it (a tiny little blue, tasteless tablet) and it clears everything up really quick. And without making you drowsy.!!
So I hope that helped and your allergies get under control!!!

Eczema is often related to other allergies. But the eczema would not cause the allergy. Often phototherapy can make eczema calm and go away.

You are wise to make the connection but it goes even much deeper than that… But it is all related to your immune system.
All allergies (seasonal included) are a result of an overactive immune system. In other words, there is something in your blood stream that is putting your immune system on edge. And when your immune system is on edge, it will react to just about anything it comes into contact with including everyday pollens, cats, other animals, etc.
Eczema is actually an autoimmune condition which is being caused by the very same thing. Again, there is something in your blood stream that has your immune system going crazy trying to get rid of it which when it starts to get out of control, will develop into the beginning of autoimmune conditions such as eczema in your case.
In my practice I deal with a lot of different allergies and autoimmune conditions because I’ve found that the vast majority can be attributed to dysfunction within the digestive systems. What happens is that poor dietary choices, stress, antibiotics, alcohol, dysbiosis etc all create inflammation within the digestive tract which damages the intestinal lining. Oftentimes people don’t even realize it because they experience no obvious digestive symptoms but it can occur very slowly over years of time.
As the intestinal lining gets damages it breaks down and begins to allow all of the harmful substances in your gut that are meant to stay in your gut to be eliminated through your bowels, into your blood stream where they spread all throughout your body and create all kinds of problems for your immune system.
So if you heal the intestinal lining and remove the source that is driving your immune system crazy then your allergies dissappear along with your eczema.
You can prove it to yourself by cutting out the following foods from your diet for a couple of weeks and watch your eczema drastically improve or even go away. Then add them back in and watch your symptoms return.
1. Wheat/Gluten
2. Dairy
3. Soy
4. Processed Foods
5. Sugar
