Question by JDMOM: How long should eczema rash take to clear up after eliminating the allergin from diet. My 3 month old has?
had it on face, tummy and legs for about a month now. We figured out he has a milk and soy allergy and have changed his formula so that he is no longer getting those. The rash on his face is better. It started getting better within 12 hours of changing the formula, but his legs and tummy are still pretty bad. Just wondering how long it can take for it to clear up.
He has only been on the new formula for 2 and a half days.

it could also be environmental laudry soap bath soap etc so if it dosen’t clear soon I would start investigating those things you may want to try a non scented detergent and an organic baby soap / lotion alos alot of babies are allergic to corn and corn deravitives in hypoallergenic formulas which can cause excema
EDIT* there was most likely corn syrup in the other formula as well…..

I agree with Tasha, there must be something else the baby is allergic to that is causing the flare up. Good luck!

theres really nothing you can do about it Im 16 and Ive had it since I was a baby.
I tried everything. Its just on the upper part of my arms is not that bad at all its just ppl think I have goosebumps or the chills.
Eventually it will go away once they are on their 20s

Try aromatic algae from Source Vital it works great! my son has/had excema on his belly, and the back of his legs. I spray the aromatic algae onmy hand and apply and within a day or two it is cleared up. This is also safe to apply to an infants face. In my personal expierence I think it works better then the 1% hydrocortison the dr perscribed!!! However, it could be the soap your using either on his clothes, and body. I had to switch to Aveeno and always use creams opposed to lotions!!

Try using Aquaphor made by eucerin…its an ointment that looks like vaseline…it works sooooo good for skin irritations of any kind…my niece has exzema and we use it on her all the time and it works wonders…I also use it for my brandnew baby that is almost 2 weeks old and on my 7 year old son as well…for any type of skin irritations. Good luck!!
