Question by Jenny: how long does urine therapy take to work on eczema?
I was born with eczema (i’m 42) it has cleared from most of body but I’m left with it on my hands which is very painful. I am a sports and remedial therapist so have to put oil on my hands which thankfully doesn’t seem to affect them. I was to be able to use a chinese cream which sadly has now been stopped by the goverment – although it contained no steriods. I’ve tried so many many creams and now in desperation am trying uring therapy.

Urine? Urine contains urea which is a skin softening agent. Might be more sanitary to use a commercial urea cream such as Carmol or others. This will help to soften the thickened skin of the hands. Stubborn hand dermatitis can also be improved with UVB light therapy available at the dermatologists office. There are other nonsteroid topical agents available. Sometimes an infection can be subtle and can interfere with the effect of otherwise good treatment. See a dermatologist if you haven’t already.
