Cephalexin is an antibiotic, often used for skin infections.
Eczema isn’t an infection.

I just found out that I have Eczema last Wednesday. The doctor I saw prescribed 500 MG Cephalexin four times a day for seven days and an antibiotic cream three times a day for three days. This is just to clear up a possible infection, because I had sliced several of the cysts as they are right on the bottom of my feet. I didn’t know what it was, and I had to go to the grocery store.
He prescribed Betamethasone Dipropionate, which is a corticosteroid in cream form. I smear generous amounts of it on the affected area and it increases the rate of healing. The steroid cream is what is going to help you with your Eczema, otherwise you’ll just have to let your body sort it out, and that could take a really long time. Mine showed no signs of healing until I started the cream; I am half way through the fourth day since beginning treatment, and it looks much better.
