What Eyeshadow Can I Use With Allergic Contact Dermatitis On My Eyelids?
Posted by: Alan in Contact Dermatitis, tags: Allergic, Contact, Dermatitis, Eyelids, Eyeshadow, What, With
My eyelids are red and inflamed. I have used Almay products for years and now all of a sudden I have reactions to the shadow….or so I think. I am at my wits end. Any woman out there experience this? HELP! and THANKS FOR YOUR SHARING!

I would not use anything until your dermititis has cleared up. You can develope allergies to cosmetics that you have used for years..they might have changed one ingrediant to one that you are allergic to.I never could use Almay. Try Mabelline or Revelon when you’re better. If not..Arbonne has hypoallergenic cosmetics. They have a website.

Honey…forego the makeup……I hated doing this too…however it has an upside. Wear the most smashing pair of retro sunglasses and pout your lips a bit….no one wll care about yur eyes…meanwhile they will heal…ok?

Have u tried the new make up called Mineral? I use to use almay but can’t any more. So I quit using make up all together. I can live without it.(I rather look ugly and not uglier and look like a disease monkey)u can order Mineral make up on tv. Good luck.

first of all, you should NOT use any eye shadow while your eyelids are broken out from previous use of an eye shadow. that’s kind of a “DUH!” Second, if you have problems with Almay you shold probably not use any other brand.
I have very sensitive skin on my lips and have trouble with lipsticks other than Almay and occassionally will find an Almay one that irritates my lips. The discomfort of the reaction is enough to teach me not to use it again. Hope you figure out the same!

I’ve used Avon products in the past and lately I can’t use them anymore, especially their eye shadows, lipsticks, and lotions. Try Physican’s Formula or Sally Hansen. They have products for sensitive skin.
