I suffer with Eczema but not as much as I used to when I was younger so it may get better as she gets older. You must take her to your Dr as he/she can give you creams to put on. Do not use scented soaps as this makes it worse. It gets itchier when the skin get hot so keep the skin cool. Make sure she wears cotton against the skin.

    Good luck!

she could be allergic to something. food or anything in your home. eczema is how the body tells you something is wrong. go to a health food store and see if you can find a bottle of neem lotion. i have eczema and this stuff is working for me. talk to the people at the health food store, maybe they know of something that will work better. good luck and god bless. food allergies caused mine. i had to get rid of what i was allergic to before it started todisappearr. i am allergic to corn and wheat.

i’d see a natropath, as eczema can be due to an underlying allergy. they can provide certain liquid supplements, easy for a toddler to take, and it could help cure the eczema, or at least manage it. i’m not sure if it is possible with a toddler, but a cause of eczema is an intolerance to dairy, and cutting out dairy works wonders on the skin.
for creams i’d try raw honey on the skin. bacteria can’t grow in it, and it’s incredibly soothing. also a product such as egyptian magic. an absolute miracle worker, egyptianmagic.com, helped clear my skin into perfection!

Wet dressings can also be helpful to eczema flares under control. Learn how to use wet dressings to treat your child’s hard to control eczema.

The easiest and simplest way for child eczema care is to keep his skin moisturized. Warm to lukewarm baths are great for your child, but do not keep your child in the bath for longer than five minutes. Use a mild soap or cleanser like Dove, Neutrogena, or Cetaphil. After your child has finished their bath, be sure that you pat them dry, rather than rub, because rubbing can irritate the skin further. Apply a moisturizer to your child’s body while it is still damp and steer clear of any soap, moisturizer, or cleaner that contains alcohol or added scent.

First of all you need to get it diagnosed by a dr that it is eczema, as they can do a lot to help. I had a friend who’s daughter had eczema badly, she was covered. Her Dr referred her to a skin specialist and never looked back. Things you can do to help, don’t use any scented soap, use skin sensitive washing powder and if her skin feels hot to touch you can use Hemp cream (body shop sale it) it cools the skin down and sooths it.
