I’m allergic to almost everything…pretty atopic, if you get what i mean.
Random things…prawns, crabs etc. , pineapple, kiwis, spinach…but when i eat these the only allergic reactions i get are in my mouth, my tongue and lips’ll swell and i get weird itchy lumps on my lips. Also, my eczema gets worse.
I do sneeze a lot – at first i thought it was due to dust and stuff in the air cos it happens all year round. I took some antihistamines and it cleared up but then i noticed that i did sneeze two to three times after meals despite the pills. I read up on snatiation and dunno if that’s what i might have – is it an allergy or just genetics? My dad does tend to sneeze a lot, but i’ve never paid attention as to when.
If anybody has any info or advice, please add! Also wanna ask if constant sneezing is bad for you in any way because i can expect to sneeze up to about 20 times a day without the antihistamines (they make me very drowsy and i can never stay awake in class, even without them! heehee)
Thank you! xxx

Can I Join The Military Still?Posted by: Alan in Atopic Eczema, tags: Join, Military, StillI am trying to join the Coast Guard. I am trying to process in Nagshead, North Carolina. The problem is I have Allergic Contact Dermatitis (slang term is eczema, though its not the same as atopic dermatitis). I did not tell my recruiter cause I know they dont grant waivers. Okay, so most of you people have probably heard of the skin condition eczema or also called Atopic Dermatitis. Well, I have eczema, and in fact I have had it since the day I was born. I have a really bad case of it and until today I still have it, its gotten a lot better but its still bad. I am 15 now if that helps. There are times where it is worse than others. And right now happens to be one of those times.I go to National Jewish Research Hospital for my eczema and they really help, I have been going there since I was a little girl. I have a special ointment that I have to put on my hands and feet, and I also take a medicine at night that helps me sleep and not itch all night until I itch my skin raw. Well, unfortunately, last night I did what I was supposed to do, by putting on my ointment and taking my medicine. But it didn’t help me at all last night. I woke up with sore’s and cracks all over my hands and feet, and it was worse than the day before. I am just worried that my ointment and medicine won’t help again. I was up all night last night and I basically only got three hours of sleep. I don’t want a repeat of last night, tonight. I don’t have my next appointment at NJRH until the 13th of April. And I just dont know what else I can do in the meantime. Its really bothering me because it hurts sooooo bad to walk. It even hurts when I sit. So I just was wondering if there was any suggestions of things that I can do to help me sleep at night until I go back to the doctor. Also, please don’t recomend doing things like wet socks, we have tried that before, and yes it does sometimes work, but most of the time I itch the socks of and then itch myself raw still. I just can’t stand this pain. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
