Hey all… I’ve had contact dermatitis on my eyelid for a few months now. I didn’t know what it was at first, and was out of state so it took me awhile to see my dermatologist. I went about 3 weeks ago and I’ve been on ongoing treatments of Prednisone (5mg) tablets as well as Locoid cream (0.1%). It went away the first week, but then came back. Now on my second week of steroids, it is still spreading and has moved under my eyelid. It itches like crazy and I’ve lost almost all my eyelashes on my left eye. I hardly ever wear makeup, so I’m not sure what has caused it. I’m worried because it is still spreading while I am on my treatment. Does ANYONE have any suggestions? Have any of you ever had something like this? It’s a terrible confidence lower. :-(

I’ve developed a rash on my lower arms that appears to be eczema or more specifically atopic dermatitis. I’ve found that the number one thing you can do is moisturize daily. Lotions are not generally recommended because they contain high amounts of water and alcohol that evaporate quickly. What are some brand names of moisturizers that will provide lasting protection against drying of the skin?

Hi all. I have contact dermatitis on my eyelid and I have an occassion coming up tomorrow. I was wondering if it is ok to tweeze your eyebrows when you have this? I have had a pretty annoying case of this for over a month now, and I am getting really tired of throwing all grooming habits out of the window… but I do understand that health comes first. What would you advise?

my nephew is 18 years old and has suffered from atopic dermatitis (severe skin eczema) since birth. He also has food allergies and asthma. This has caused many missed days of school due to sleepless nights and extreme itching, infections, from the eczema. He has tried every treatment available and nothing seems to work for the long term.

my baby is five months old and she has it on her trunk (that’s because she sleeps on her belly) and on her cheeks and the area surrounding her mouth.
