I don’t have picture, but it’s located on the two middle fingers of my right hand, sometimes spreading to the index finger and pinky finger as well. I think I might have contact dermatitis, or eczema. Growing up as a child, I’ve always had itching problems over my entire body. On my thighs, my arms (especially), my buttocks, by calves, everywhere! But that’s dulled down a bit since I’ve become a teen. I work at Panera bread and we use this sanitizer and we also use powdered and unpowdered latex gloves. We had this sanitizer bottle that would leak when you sprayed it. I was like, “Okay, whatever, this bottle is retarded, but it’s the only one we have…?” So I used it and the sanitizer would drip over the fingers that I sprayed with on my right hand. Sometime later, a few weeks, maybe, I started developing this rash on my fingers. It would itch really badly… but it dulled down a bit for the next few months. Well, a few months ago I started itching in the same place. We had long since gotten a new bottle, but I still had contact with what I thought caused the rash. Well, I don’t use the sanitizer that much anymore (because of my position) and now use the gloves excessively. It seems the more I use any type of glove, the worse it itches (because of the warm, sweaty state the gloves put my hands in.) When I get out of the shower it itches, when I’m just sitting there it itches. Now it’s coming up in little patches on my fingers and also a little on my hand. Around where it itches there are these… bubbles… under the skin and, if I scratch these bubbles open, they have a clear substance that drains from it. I’m constantly aware of my fingers, be it because they are hurting, itching, or swelling. When I wake up in the morning I have finger joint stiffness and what feels like numbness… what should I do?

Since i was in third grade(5yrs ago) i started getting this rash. It started with just a little spot from my belt buckle on my stomach and then it eventually was on my forearms. About 3yrs. ago, i had a skin allergy test and i found out that I’m allergic to cobalt and nickel. More recently, that rash seems to come and go more often but now i get it on my back, abdomen, arms, legs, neck and chin. The thing is, all my dermatologists keep telling me that im coming in contact with nickel or cobalt. Let me tell you, I’ve done a lot of research and i even wore sweatshirts and long pants when it was 80 degrees just to see if it was contact dermatitis, and i don’t think it is. My nickel rash from my belt looks entirely different than my other rashes. There is no real pattern that i get the rash. it usually starts small and just gets worse until i finally have to go back to the doctor’s, and they give me new creams that take it away. I’m fully aware that nickel and cobalt are in shampoos, clothing, silverware, cookware,mo… foods, and paints. I switched my shampoo to all natural hoping for the answer. I thought it was but then about a week ago it came back again. I’m miserable! My rash itches like crazy, hurts and is hot to the touch. Its scaly and an angry red. The bumps are small and form in one giant cluster. If anyone has some sort of magic cure for rashes would they please share? I’ve tried benadryll, and all kinds of other allergy medications. My dermatologist suggested a cortisone shot but I’d have to wait 2 weeks for an appointment and i would still like to search around for the cause instead of just treating the symptoms. Any help is greatly appreciated = ] by the way, the creams i am give are to be only used for a week at a time because they are very strong steroid creams so after i use it for more then a week, the rash is way more painful and if i use it only for a week, its not long enough for a significant improvement. By the time i go in to the doc’s office and he gives me more cream, the rash is just about over with and theres no point in using creams, it just makes it go faster.

ok heres the deal
things that irritate it worse … tgel, head and sholders, selsun blue, tea tree oil, peppermint oil, almond oil, olive oil, vegtible oil, baby shampoo, deep cleaning shampoo ……. seriously i can list them all ive tried dove saint ives regular shampoos conditioners shampoos with vitam a’s b’s c’s ive even tried girly shampoos like aussi my sister uses it so i figured what the heck …….. ya all of em make it better for about 5 mintues after i get out of the shower or bath and then when i go to get dressed if i dont get a soft shirt it gets itchy to the point where i have to take it off ive done the oil in scalp treatments they dont help hell when i was 13 i put a whole tube of cortosone cream 3% in my hair after a week of it not working when used as the dermatoligist said ……… needless to say nothing
ive tried limiting bath/shower times, adjusting timing, washing throughly, patting dry all of that and using hair dryers as well as exfoliating or whatever you call it with a comb before showers nothing havnt gotten barely any improvement yet its been like 7 years since this dry scalp thing started and now my hands are starting to randomly get dry in the mornings and face feels all itch …… no achny at all i have asthma and ocd and no i dont wash 6 times a day and dont wash my hands like other people with ocd and ive tried hand lotions all that stuff to it doesnt help other then it makes my hands a bit itchy for a few mins then it goes away on my hand for like 15mins to an hour then is back again
on my scalp itll come off with a comb but appear again in 1-3 hours its not psoriosis or serebic dermatitis or eczyma when i comb it it comes out and theres no patchs the skins normal colored and the only time i get a irratated spot is if i comb to hard and like break skin
oh and water irratates it as well as my family tells me i have greasy hair …… it doesnt look greasy to me at all ….. i find washing my hair in a bath tub without soap and doing it underwater is better then anything shampoo or hair washing style wise. after a shower tho theres a gritty feeling like 5-10minutes after along the sides of my face and sometimes it just comes right back.
also when i comb theres this distinct smell …… something like walking into a hair salon place where they cut your hair but it only last like 30 secounds at most usually?
yes my skin is sensitive but i doubt its contact dermatitis since i can put shampoo on my arm and leave it there and it doesnt even get red
medicines .. flovent, albuteral, ive taken ridilin in the past andi take 3 of these gummi vitamins evry day my diets mainly meats and i love pretzles and i do eat fruit cups but other then tht i dont eat much fruits or vegitibles theres really none around here and i dont eat much unless its at night then i eat a litte havnt eaten lunch yet this year at school rarely breakfast get to the point where i feel sick in school cause i get hungry at a random point but then it goes away and im not hungry at all ….. i have insomnia and rarely get sleep like usually 3 or 4 am to 6 am is my sleep schedual and i sleep on a couch and sweat sometimes at night and i dont drink much either usually just like hawaian punch kin of stuff and ive heard stress can cause flare ups …… ya my lifes living hell but i dont believe stress can really relate to this? an also my parents have the tempeture and all around here all whack cause their obsesd with the heating bills and what not
my hairs medium length, black, my skins caucausion and im 17 and yes ive gone through puberty
there i think that covers just bout evrything that relates to diet lifestyle what ive tried stree what not
any ideas whats going on here i mean ya along with ocd and the low self esteeme and school ya…. lifes hell

The past two days (Monday + Wednesday, as we had Tuesday off) that I’ve gone to school, I’ve come home with red blotchy skin, covering my arms and legs, that itches like a b*tch.
Even using Benedryl, hasn’t helped that much. =[
It’s now starting to spread, to other parts of my body.
I’ve missed a lot of school so far (about six days of absentees and–plus two days I was there that I participated in a peer-leadership training program), so I’d hate to miss more school. I just couldn’t stand the idea of sitting through classes, unable to focus because of the pain caused from the itchiness in my arms and legs.
The nurse said right away that I have contact dermatitis.
Now, I’m just faced with the dilemma of going to school or not tomorrow. Plus–any tips on how to deal with the contact dermatitis?

I’ve been using this Aveeno moisturizer with SPF 15 for almost 2 years now and I guess it’s perfect for my skin since I’ve never had any allergic reaction to it. But, I want to use a higher spf coz I want to protect my skin since I have some discoloration but my problem is, I am allergic to Spf. I know it doesn’t make sense right now but my dermatologist told me that the only sunscreen I can use is Presun from Rite Aid. I’ve had Contact Dermatitis before where I broke out due to the Lanolin Oil in lip cosmetics (one of the ingredients) and SPF. But for some reason, I’m not allergic to Aveeno with SPF 15 and I’m very afraid to use something with higher Spf coz I don’t want to have contact dermatitis again. I am using Bio-Oil to moisturize my skin and to help even out my skin tone but I need sunscreen, what should I get? You think I should stick with Aveeno but get the SPF 30 for more protection? or can I just go ahead and buy the Presun sunscreen with Spf 30 since I’m already using Bio-Oil for my moisturizer? Thanks in advance
