I don’t think that the hamster will have a bad effect on her eczema. It is good that she washes her hands after playing with the hamster and she should keep deep conditioning creams on her skin.

How do I know if my baby has eczema and not just dry skin? He’s been breaking out in little patches on his upper arm, and the top of his feet right at the bottom of his leg. I have told the DR. and also my husband has it, but very mildly. I have got eczema cream that doesn’t seem to do much more than his regular aquaphore cream.

Eczema is very persistent and will come back repeatedly after it occurs. Eczema is itchy so kids tend to scratch, especially in their sleep. Eczema is often worse after bath time or when baby has been sweating. Have you tryin Eucerin Calming cream? It’s worked wonders on patients I’ve had. If that doesn’t help, you may need to try prescription topical steroids.

Good luck!

Question by Anono: Is it medically possible to find a cure for eczema?
I know there isn’t one at the moment but is there any hope for the millions of people with this particular skin disease? Considering there isn’t cures for certain diseases such as HIV/AIDS, certain STD’s etc. It makes me wonder, will I be doomed with such a curse?

unfortunately from what i have researched and heard from doctors it is your bodies irregularity of something. And in certain cases it is herditary, our body wont make enough of a specific i believe chemical to stop the eczema…
