Question by Julie: Is it bad to run hot, hot water under eczema?
When my eczema is really itchy, I run it under hot water. Mostly my finger(where my eczema is). But I was always wondering if it’s bad to do that? It relieves my itch A LOT. And it makes the itch go away temporarily. Usually after I run it under hot water, my finger is red. Please help me out! Thanks.

I also suffer with eczema sometimes, awful. Hot water would make the skin dryer whcih is the opposite of what you want. You need to stay hydrated so drink loads of water with a small amount of sugar, like lemon slice or a small amount of cordial or honey. Sugar in the water will make your stomach think it’s food so it will go through your system quickly therefore hydrating you quicker. Believe me hydration will really help with yoyr skin condition, i thought it was rubbish until i tried it and it works.

Question by Josie: Will using the Tea Tree Facial Wash (from BS) make my eczema worse?
I have my eczema under control now, by using a cream called Free Derm. You can hardly see it. Anyway, how exactly is tea tree good for your facial skin? Will it help pimples?
I have REALLY sensitive skin.

Question by ♥ terry g ♥: Does anyone here have experience with Protopic ointment for eczema and other skin conditions?
It was prescribed for me after my diabetes reacted horribly to Desonide lotion.

Best answer:

If your reacting badly to prescribed medicine, I’d try some healing salve. It’s herbal and may not react as badly if at all. there are plenty of sites to find it to buy or it is easily made at home if you get the ingredients. Hope it helps.
