Question by chanel h: Is dyshidrotic eczema contagious after all?
I’ve had dyshidrotic eczema since I was a teenager, all the pictures of it I’ve come across are just like what I have, the description is identical as well, that’s why I assume my Dr. is convinced. The only thing is that everything I’ve read and been told about dyshidrotic eczema states that it is not contagious. I figured it must be hereditary then because other than myself, 3 of my siblings have it, my mother, and one of my children. But about 3 years ago my husband started to get it too, and now my mother’s boyfriend is freaking out because he has the same fluid filled itchy bumps on teh sides of his feet now. What are the odds that everyone around us happens to carry it too without it being contagious? Or is it possible that this isn’t dyshidrotic eczema at all, and it’s actually something else that IS contagious with the exact same symptoms?
Thanks for the responses, but what I’m really interested in finding out, is why most people in my family have developed this problem including people who live in our homes that are not blood related. If dyshidrotic eczema is not all that common, then how is it that we all have it? Or could it in fact be something else instead that IS contagious?

Answer by Holly It is not contagious and poses no risk to others.
After the bath and no contact with the grass, the dog had some relief in the first 24 hours and after 48 hrs it was no longer biting at the itch. I rubbed more conditioner into the dogs paws at least 3 times a day. It provides some soothing relief and forms somewhat of a barrier and protection if the dog does get out and have contact with the grass The next video will show the results 3 months later..
