Question by Hello: I had eczema as a child and now it’s flared up again at 15- how can I cover it up effectively for PE?
All in the title really. It’s on my legs in patches, incredibly annoying and embarrassing

I had the same problem although they were scars! Evertime we had PE , I kinda wore long socks which..hmm…not that good to look at and nerdy lol

It was a great thing that the shorts were changed to jogging pants. What a relief for me!

Back to your question…

I head that fish spa works well on some people and and I agree its enjoyable

There is also creams in drugstores that might help you.

Good luck!

Question by lunatic louise: Been on eczema diet for 8 months but am thinking of using steroid cream again?
About 8 months ago i got so fed with my eczema that i decided to change my diet that instant. I went and had allergy tests done and removed all foods that i was allergic or intolerant to. I stopped eating all processed food and only ate fruit, veg, potatoes, chicken tuna, lamb. It was absolute hell and my eczema got 10 times worse but then got 100 times better. Recently i have been having a flare up and am wondering if after all this time i should just give in and use the steroid cream on my arms. They are agony and look horrible. I stopped using all prescribed creams when i started my diet apart from a moisturiser. Any help gratefully recieved. Thanks

O sweetie, what a shame after you worked so hard at it. Well done you, I can never be that disciplined.

Have you thought about aromatherapy instead of the steroid creams?

I use the one that we make at the apothecary, I can’t recommend it enough.
Have a look and let me know if you need any more help.

Hang in there chick!!!

Question by lakersforlife: I just found out I have seborrhoeic eczema. Is there any way I could have back my original face again?
It’s not severe, and sometimes you can’t notice it, but it’s noticeable when the skin flakes and turns red on my eyebrows and the sides of my nose. If this a lifetime kind of thing, then what would be the best thing to do?

Best answer:

Answer by J. P
I had that on my nose too. I also get dandruff. But I use head and shoulders and just using the shampoo on my head was enough to get rid of the flakes near my nose.

i have just been recently been diagnosed with discoid eczema. I have scars everywhere because of it and it is very hard to prevent myself from scratching when my skin becomes itchy. Is there any way to stop my skin from becoming itchy in the first place? Or are there any methods i can use to stop myself from scratching myself? since i usually scratch at night when i am not conscious of my actions

and is there anyway to lighten the scars caused by discoid eczema?

Last year I had a staph infection on my left leg from a cut w/ eczema all around it ( sorry to gross you all out) .It has healed but about maybe March I saw a little blister about the size of an ant bite and all what came off was skin and now it hurts , red, kind of big , and the medicine I am using Cortizone Advanced doesn’t to be working this time. Does anybody know what I could put on it or what to do?
