The main cause of eczema is overreaction of the immune system. Identifying certain foods, chemicals, etc can be very helpful in battling this disease. I try to avoid soy and sea food which trigger my flare-ups.
After using number of prescription drugs I’ve turned to the natural treatments.
Now I use herbal remedies from serenaskin.com, which aim at the root of the disease – the immune system, and are steroid-free.
After about 3 weeks of using ointment and spray my skin has been cleared up and now I just continue with anti-eczema extract, which controls the immune system. My skin has been clear for months now.
It is the only treatment I have found that provides me complete relief when I use it as directed.

Question by Ari: Unbearable Itchy Eczema on my Hand WONT GO AWAY!?
I’ve had eczema on my hands (mainly my right hand) for a good 6 years now and it just does NOT go away. I’ll start taking a new medication and after a month or so the bumps and swelling and unbearable itch return. I have switched from medicine to medicine to try and keep it away but it just keeps comming back!!! The doctor says there is no cure for it and i just have to keep switching meds. Any advice on how to help the itch without medication? Any natural remedies? I’m willing to try ANYTHING :(
The doctor did diagnose it as eczema. I have tried every over the counter cream imaginable including cortizone cream and lotions. It tends to flaire up extremely when I am stressed, but no reaction to any particular food. I try to use handsoap that is “soap free” or “Wet Ones” antibac wipes instead and that helps with no additional irritation. I have also tried a few pills but they all tend to make me extremely sleepy so i stopped taking them.

It is hard to locate, but you might like to try Goat’s milk soap. My friend has had sever eczema for most of her life, and this is the only thing that gave her relief.

Question by : is this is a birth mark or eczema or something else? can it go away?
i have a HUGE mark on my stomach. it literally takes up half of my stomach. but im not sure if its really a birthmark. my mom thinks it may be eczema, but what does eczema look like? my mark is dark brown, patchy, and rough feeling with little bumps. my little sister has eczema, but i’ve never had any problems with dry skin. i put lotion on it every day. besides, i’ve had it ever since i can remember. my parents don’t know if i’ve had it since birth. if you think its eczema what can i do to make it go away? or if it isn’t eczema than what is it?

pictures of eczema or other conditions may help me figure out mine, so that would help me a lot thanks!
i forgot, my sister also has a very small patch like mine on her forehead.

I would guess you have eczema, it’s a flora bacteria and once it takes hold, it’s there forever. It will always show on you, either as rough skin darker then the rest, or reddish and rough. You can put a number of things from the Walmart drug store on it to make it so it doesn’t show so much. My own daughter never wore skirts or shorts because she was always ashamed of her legs and what they looked like.
We both go to a dermatologist and get shots every week now to halt our allergies, the shots Xolair are on special request and have to be approved are $ 2400.00 a month but can be approved by the drug company and they will pay. See your doctor for more facts.

Question by Jennifer H: When does baby eczema generally go away?
My 8 week old baby has it all over her little body and face. I have been doing all the creams and washes but it is getting exhausting and she hates the creams. I know it can last into adulthood but can anybody with experience with this tell me when it went away.

Yes I know this is depressing, my son had it. When he was born he had flaky skin on his toes and he developed eczema almost right away. We tried all sorts of lotion/potions,different laundry stuff, nothing made a difference. I left him unclothed as often as poss. Strangely he never got diaper rash! Somewhere between 18 months and 2 yrs it disappeared.
