Question by Poppy I LOVE YOU MJ RIP <3: whats causing my allergic reaction? stress or diet? eczema, spots, itching…its getting worse!?
okay i don’t know what it is but its getting worse. it started about a month or two ago,
it started off with eczema, but now ive got spots on my face and the eczema is getting worse

okay i do realize it COULD be because of my stress – ive been under immense pressure due to exams (gcses) , but ive calmed down as they are over, it was really bad because ive never been under that much pressure in my live. but why am i still getting itching and spots and stuff?

but i was wondering -
could it be my diet? i have kind of started eating new things, but they re all healthy changes.

heres what i have on an average day:
breakfast – bio pot yogurt with chopped banana
lunch – sandwich (Philadelphia and lettuce)
dinner – whatever my mum makes (never been a problem)
i do have about 2 cups of herbal tea.

okay, now i want to know whether its my eating or my stress?
please help me!
xxx

It is most likely from your stress..
I have eczema too, and I use a cream for it called: triamcinolone 0.1% cream, it’s generic for Kenalog 0.1% cream. Anyway its a prescription from my doctor.. Another thing that helps is benedryl..It makes you drowsy but also helps with the itchyness…
Get some of the cream for it and try to apply it before you scratch it into a sore..
avoid scratching your eczema if you can.
good luck!

Question by Preggo With #2: Why is my baby’s eczema causing yellowing of the skin?
My baby always gets an eczema rash in the same spot on her forehead. The doctor prescribes cortisone cream which I use and right now the rash is cleared up but the spot where the rash usually is is yellowish. Anyone else have this happen?

It’s oxidation of the cream you use. That happens.

Two family members are suffering from adult acne and eczema in my house. The water has been tested and is hard-with calcium and magnesium. Wondering if the acne isn’t clearing up because of the hard water not completely cleaning the skin and pores. I am already on two prescription acne creams and it ’s not working.

So I just recently figured out that I think I have contact dermatitis. For the last month I have had dry, itchy, red, slightly bumpy, scaly skin on my eyelids and they get swollen every once in awhile. I was reading up on it and found out that Quaternium- 15 is a typical ingredient in shampoos and stuff that can cause contact dermatitis. I am desperately trying to figure out what is causing this on me cause I can’t afford a doc, so I looked at my shampoo and found Quaternium- 18. So my question is is that the same as Quaternium- 15? Also, I have heard hydrocortisone cream helps. True? Any other suggestions? Does this sound like contact dermatitis?
Thanks for the help. It is greatly appreciated since I don’t know what else to do and this is driving me crazy.
