allergic contact dermatitis from tea tree oil?

I used tea tree oil on my neck for acne and I have developed an allergic reaction to it on my skin….my skin is now redenned and itching and very dry…..any thing which can help with this …. 10 pts best answer

About three months ago I went to the dermatologist cause I have like a red irritation on the side of my penis and its right under the head on the foreskin. The dermatologist told me it was contact dermatitis and perscribed me some hydrocortizone cream. I’ve been tested for every std and they came back negative. My worry is why hasn’t it gone away completely? It looks like a brownish/blueish/purple line and when it flares up it gets red than goes back down… Sometimes it has dry and flaky skin and is very sensitive. I have no insurance to go back to the doctor plus don’t feel its nessassary. I just wanna know if anyone can help me out with what’s going on cause I can’t find any information online. Thanks for any help. P.S. I am circumsized

Can contact dermatitis recur if the irritant was absorbed into skin?

Ten months ago I got contact dermatitis from sitting in a postpartum herbal bath. It is my belief that the offending ingredient was rosemary oil. I simmered the herbal ingredients and poured the liquid into the hot bath water. I sat in the bath for about 15 minutes and within 24 hours was diagnosed with the contact dermatitis. Itching lasted for 3 months. 10 months later and I have had several bouts of severe itching in the areas with the most sensitive skin and with the longest exposure to the bath water (use your imagination). I am wondering if the rosemary oil could be being released from the skin or fat cells and since I have been sensitized to it, causing itching? As I said, this happened postpartum and I have been breastfeeding since then, which is causing me to lose weight. My thinking – losing weight could be causing break down of fat cells. Can someone tell me if this is possible or likely?

well it started like a week ago and it hasnt gone away. the dr. gave me elomet0.1% supposivley its like some kind of steroid. he gave it to me in a cream. i dont have it real bad but its very very annoying. i have it on the palm of my hand and its these little bumps you really cant even see much unless u sratch them and then suddenly they show. i feel like crying this is terrible. is there anybody that has goe through this that can tell me what i can do. ive seen all these pics on the internet and they scare me. please if anyone has gone through this let me know. thanks

I think i may have it because i have rashes all over my body?

How can I treat Allergic Contact Dermatitis on my face?

I’m 14 and my aunt bought me the Clinique 3-Step Kit. I used it about twice. A day or so later a noticed a rash appearing in the areas that I used it. It got worse as more and more hours went by. I researched this on the internet and found that I have Allergic Contact Dermatitis. My face is so red and puffy and itchy that I am too embarrassed to show my face in public. I’m scared to go to school and sometimes refer my face to my family as a tomato. I’ve tried cortisone cream but it doesn’t sink into my skin. o_o; Not sure if its supposed to sink in or not. I’ve heard ProActiv works on this, but I need a fast remedy because my mom says I can’t keep missing school. Can someone tell me a remedy that works quickly and how long it should take? I’m really sick of this and I really want my aunt to get a refund from Clinique, but again I’m too embarrassed to go in public looking the way I do. Someone help me please! D:

Okay i have this ugly red patchy contact dermatitis on my face and i want to know, with treatment (cream and pills) provided by a professional doctor, how long will this last because i’m very scared it will never go away! (i’ve only had it for two days and i’m very easily worried,)

I went to the theme park Busch Gardens on Saturday with my school. We were coming back home after and the top of my hand was itchy. The next day, my other arm was itchy, and I slowly over the next few days developed seemingly random splotches of itchy weirdness.

I went to the doctor Tuesday. He looked at me for thirty seconds, saw that it was on my hand and my arm and I went to an amusement park, called it contact dermatitis and left.

I don’t think it’s contact dermatitis because it’s continued to spread and it’s in random splotches, not just where clothing touches (like if I was reacting to laundry detergent) etc.

I’ll describe it the best I can.

It’s on the top of my right hand in a somewhat distinct line, there’s a splotch or two on the top of my right arm, it’s ALL over the underside of my left arm in three or four main spots about the size of a quarter with more dot-like splotches by the elbow. Left inner thigh in a distinct line resembling the one on my hand a little. One small spot on my inner thigh (which was really itchy so I scratched it like crazy a second ago and now there’s a bunch of tiny red speckes around it). In a triangular shape on my breast, a little in the middle of my chest, in my belly button, and finally a little bit on my neck.

Not a speck on the back of me at all or my face or my legs (besides the thighs)

I live in South Florida and it has been raining lately. I have a dog.

I have perscription ointment for contact dermatitis, I’ve been taking short cool showers and rubbing oatmeal and baking soda on my “rash”.

What else can I do? Do you think it is contact dermatitis? What do you suggest it is if it isn’t on the back of me at all or my face? What has worked for you getting rid of rashes?

I’m 16, it’s hot out and I’m already sick of wearing pants and jackets to cover this up. Please help.
