Question by MelB: Infant has dermatitis/eczema. What can I do for him?
He’s 2 months and has some type of dermatitis/eczema. His face is peeling and he has cradle cap. His face is not rashy, it just looks dry and peely but he has a red rash on the back of his neck and on the inner part of his elbows. The dryness and peeling is all around his ears too and it sometimes looks wet, as if it was puss or something, on his ears. I don’t know what I can do for him. Doctor keeps telling me no lotions, creams, this, that, etc. What are my options?

This may sound a bit crazy, but I’ve (several times!) had young children and babies as chiropractic patients where really SEVERE exzema has completely disappeared after about 6 treatments of upper cervical diversified chiropractic treatment!
It works by releasing pressure from the autonomic nerve branches that regulate skin function – no more interference, no more exzeme, just like with back or neck tension.
Find a good one on an HMO list.

Question by tiredbutwiredlove: Anyone use baby sunscreen on infant dermatitis/eczema as a moisturizer?
Now that the weather is nice and sunny I have been taking my 3 month old outside. I put a little SPF 50 Waterbabies on her cheeks, arms, and legs and noticed that within 15 minutes her dermatitis was cleared up! Her skin felt so smooth again, like when she was born! Has anyone else had this kind of success with suncreen? What would be making it clear up? Does it act as a good moisturizer?

I have used sunscreen as a lotion before, and I have used hair conditioner on my eczema when I was younger…bur now I am kinda allergic to that conditioner…but I would use it till it doesn’t work anymore.

Hello everyone,
I have these rashes along the inner thighs of my body. I recently got diagnosed with atopic dermatitis/eczema by my doctor. He prescribed be a special cream to ease the outbreak. I have been using it for 2 weeks, but it does not seem to make these rashes go away. However, I know that eczema/atopic dermatitis is not curable but treatable. I was wondering what I can do to help prevent and make these rashes go away. I am a very clean person, am not very allergic to many things, and take care of my body well.
