Eczema Treatment Care

Question by Monica: My 15 month old has eczema bad, what else can i do?
He got diagnosed with eczema when he was 6 months old, it’s improved tons since then BUT he still has several patches on his ankles, wrists, ears and on the back of his neck. I always keep his nail short, filed and clean. I feel like i’ve tried everything, lotions, steroids, i’ve changed laundry detergents, his diet, EVERYTHING and it just wont leave him alone. He still wakes up and at night everyday, and i feel helpless. Does anybody have any suggestions? We’re desperate for anything.

Talk to your doctor about 2.5% hydro cortisone cream. My son has had it since he was 3 months old and hes 9 months old. You can only get it in a prescription but that is all that i have found that works.

I have had the worst outbreak the last couple weeks. The blisters were so bad on one foot that I have been on crutches to avoid putting pressure on my foot. Besides my one foot, it had spread on my hands, arms, and a little on my ankles. My other foot has only 3 or 4 blisters. I had a shot Friday, it was like a steriod shot, and on steriods for a few days. The cream I have used to keep it from spreading was not working like it should.
Just wondering if anyone has found a way to keep the blisters under control before they spread worse.

According to what I read about cortaid it doesn’t sound good for my baby. Does anyone have any ideas as far as other safe medications?

About three months ago I went to the dermatologist cause I have like a red irritation on the side of my penis and its right under the head on the foreskin. The dermatologist told me it was contact dermatitis and perscribed me some hydrocortizone cream. I’ve been tested for every std and they came back negative. My worry is why hasn’t it gone away completely? It looks like a brownish/blueish/purple line and when it flares up it gets red than goes back down… Sometimes it has dry and flaky skin and is very sensitive. I have no insurance to go back to the doctor plus don’t feel its nessassary. I just wanna know if anyone can help me out with what’s going on cause I can’t find any information online. Does anyone else suffer from Seborrheic Dermatitis on the face? I’ve managed to lessen my symptoms but it’s really tough to live with something this irritating that doesn’t have a cure. If anyone else has Seb Derm and wants to talk about it… like discuss possible treatments that have/haven’t worked for us… I’d really like to get in contact with you. Let me know
