Question by Albinoballs: Eczema on fingers?
it wont go away.
it bubbles in small clumps over night.
in the morning they pop and a clear slightly sticky substance comes out.
Ive tryed various creams from the doctors (Fucibet is quite greesy) Dermol is the good one that sometimes reduces its appearence for a few days.
eczema is as old as the ark, i was just wondering if there is an ancient old wifes tale or something I can leave out of my diet?

I have found that soaking my hands and feet in oatmeal baths each night really helps a lot. It dries everything out and makes it less itchy. I also sleep with gloves on in order to prevent myself from itching my hands in my sleep. Aveeno is a great lotion and although its a bit greasy it works well. As far as diet goes, I have never heard anything.

I don’t have picture, but it’s located on the two middle fingers of my right hand, sometimes spreading to the index finger and pinky finger as well. I think I might have contact dermatitis, or eczema. Growing up as a child, I’ve always had itching problems over my entire body. On my thighs, my arms (especially), my buttocks, by calves, everywhere! But that’s dulled down a bit since I’ve become a teen. I work at Panera bread and we use this sanitizer and we also use powdered and unpowdered latex gloves. We had this sanitizer bottle that would leak when you sprayed it. I was like, “Okay, whatever, this bottle is retarded, but it’s the only one we have…?” So I used it and the sanitizer would drip over the fingers that I sprayed with on my right hand. Sometime later, a few weeks, maybe, I started developing this rash on my fingers. It would itch really badly… but it dulled down a bit for the next few months. Well, a few months ago I started itching in the same place. We had long since gotten a new bottle, but I still had contact with what I thought caused the rash. Well, I don’t use the sanitizer that much anymore (because of my position) and now use the gloves excessively. It seems the more I use any type of glove, the worse it itches (because of the warm, sweaty state the gloves put my hands in.) When I get out of the shower it itches, when I’m just sitting there it itches. Now it’s coming up in little patches on my fingers and also a little on my hand. Around where it itches there are these… bubbles… under the skin and, if I scratch these bubbles open, they have a clear substance that drains from it. I’m constantly aware of my fingers, be it because they are hurting, itching, or swelling. When I wake up in the morning I have finger joint stiffness and what feels like numbness… what should I do?

She has stopped washing hair for a few weeks now and the condition is still getting worse, but only on hands, side of hands all fingers and tips of fingers. Very itchy breaking out with cuts and bleeding. THe consultant has done test patching given her emollients to wash and rub in. Steroid creams not helping. Does anyone have any advice or help to give me?
