I have a rash on my skin i think its an allergic reaction or im starting to get eczema.It a small rash on my neck and the skin is dry…does anyone know any home remdies to get rid of eczema or a rash

Answer by Andrew W If its just allergies take some Benedryl to reduce the hystamine reaction (rash).
If you are treating excema its best to go to the doctors to get a pescription. I have used hydrocotrizone (pescription from doc) sucessfully but was allergic to the Ellidel they had given me before.

I was on interfon/copegus combo for 1 year (hep C treatment) About 6 months into it I started with a small patch on my chin which spread throughout my bottom lip all the way down to my collar bones, even the palm of my hands. I saw a dermatologists several times. After 3 rounds of different antibotics, serveral gels and ointments and stopping treatment it still remained. The itiching and buring drives me crazy. A friens at work gave me some Desonide 0.05% ointments that cleared it up within 3 to 5 days, but once I used it up it started coming back within 2 days in the same areas, but now it is on the back if my legs at the bend and the same on my arms. I am so tired of spending money for doctor visits and expensive medications. I have been doing it for a year. I thought once I got off treatment it would just go away. Please help I am desperate…

Answer by Cheyenne C I’ve had eczema my entire life (my parents had me diagnosed after I repeatedly drug my arms and legs on the carpet to soothe the itching).
My mom would put regular oatmeal in a sock and tie it at the end and put it in my bath water.
After the bath she would put regular Crisco on my arms and legs, along with medicated powder, and then put long pants and a long sleeved shirt on me.
