Question by canned.ice69: Just found out my 21 month old son is allergic?
My 21 month old son has been suffering with eczema for a while now in his nappy and gets spots by his mouth as well so the doctor made him get blood tests done to check for allergy’s and he’s allergic to dairy, wheet and egg white. Dairy and wheet are a big part of his diet and now I have no idea what to feed him. We gonna speak to the doctor tomorrow. But any suggestions?

There are special allergen-free diets and formula. Also, children usually grow out of food allergies by around 3 or 4.

Question by hikari_hana_haru: Skin Cancer or Just Eczema?
My skin has these brownish circle-like spots that are kinda fading-y. I read and saw pictures about skin cancer and it looks kinda like it, but not as…bold you can say (it almost blends into my skin color.) I had this for a while, I think. I’m not sure if this is also eczema, which I had since I was three years old. I just went to the dermatologist a month back for a check up on my eczema (I still had these spots on my wrists, which also had my eczema on one area as well), and she didn’t say anything about it.

Some help would be appreciated. And to all you doctors/dermatalogists, your opinions would be revered.

I’m a bit nervous.

You are okay, so please stop worrying. Eczema will cause the skin to become lighter in the places where is has healed. Especially if you are not fair complected, it will be noticable in those areas that have healed.

Question by denise: How can I tell if my 2 year old has scabies or just eczema? Her rash comes and goes, itches worse at nite.?
the rash is behind her knees at the bend and inside of elbows at bend..

Answer by Pageant
Well, normally in those areas,
it gets hot.
so,
the skin gets irritated.
my skin gets red and bumpy there.
but,
eczema is rough dry like patchs of skin
ive got that too lol.
so im thinking.
it is one of the two.

Question by 애갑: Just got hand eczema / atopy, any way to get rid of it before it spreads out more?
About a week ago I noticed a little patch of vesicles on my palm. It scared me a little but I thought it’ll go away soon so I didn’t really care. Then one day the vesicles were disappearing one by one and patches of my skin started to peel off. I thought it was just dry skin so I didn’t mind again. Then, more vesicles formed and they started to slowly spread out. I got scared and searched online and it seems like i got hand eczema. im 16 years old, play volleyball, and i really want to get rid of this as soon as possible. i just randomly woke up from it, i have no idea why it happened. please help me i do not want to suffer my whole life from this…

Cortisone cream is the most common treatment for mild eczema breakouts. You can try an OTC cortisone but if it spreads or does not get better in a couple weeks, see DR.
