Answer by Betsy Do not skimp on the lotion. WHen our son was dx with moderate eczema we at first tried generics…the allergist suggested we stop that. We now use Lubriderm but Eucerin works great too!! Just make sure it has no dyes or perfumes as this is highly likely to aggravate the already sensitive skin. We also switched bath soaps to Dove sensitive-the green bar and laundry soap to All Free and Clear.

Question by blackned_wings: Eczema on face? Lotion not working
For the past few years I’ve had eczema on my face, just little patches of red. For about a year or two it had gone away completely and now has randomly come back. I used to use some sort of aveeno lotion, which helped but I think they’ve stopped making it. I’ve now tried two seperate kinds (daily moisterizing, & skin releif) and both just irritate it and make it flame up even more. I’m not sure if my store carries the aveeno they make specificly for eczema, but I do want to try it. However, aside from seeing a dermatologist (which always takes months to get into) what are some suggestions to help it fade now?
