Question by NyNy: What is a good makeup line for someone with eczema?
I want to go all out. The foundation, powder, eye liner, eye shadow, blush, mascara, and lip gloss. But if you know of a good lipstick that is not dry and thick, then I will try that as well. Thanks!

Answer by Sara Bare essentials is wonderful. it’s actually good for your skin. It may be a little on the expensive side, but it’s worth every penny. Some dermatologists sell it. My sister bought it, and it cleared up her acne. Eye liner and mascara shouldn’t bother your skin. If you have allergies, try using clinuqe for eye liner and mascara. I promise, once you use bare essentials for about a week, you won’t even remember you have excema. I had that on my arms, and I loaded on cortizone ten before i went to bed. It helped me a whole lot.

I have horrible eczema on my eye lids. They turn really scaly and flaky. I have used elidel but it only makes them burn. Is there a magical cream that can fix it and allow me to use eyeliner and eye shadow without it looking flaky and gross?

Having spent a fortune on makeup recently as I’ve had a problem for a while with my eyes, the doctor told me it was contact dermatitis from something I’m using on them. I tried lots of makeup (Clinique – hypoallergic), then thought it was lanolin so spent a fortune on No.7 range which is lanolin free, I wore this for 3 days in a row and thought it was working, I was so happy, then I woke up this morning with huge puffy, red and itchy eyes just like before. I then read on internet that it maybe bismuth oxychloride which is in a lot of makeups and can cause my symptoms and that I should try mineral makeup so I’ve ordered two samples from Lily lolo and bare essentials, fingers crossed! To be honest I’m so down and feel like there’s nothing I can do. I get married in 4 months and keep thinking it’ll be a disaster because I can’t seem to wear any makeup. Does anyone have any info to help me, I feel so down about this.

I’ve just been down to the hospital as I’ve had problems with red, sore, itchy and swollen eyes for a while now, just thinking it would go and it didn’t. I woke up this morning and one of my eyes was practically closed. As the redness is in the exact place that my eye shadow would go the doctor thinks its dermatitis related to my eye make up. He’s prescribed me hydrocortisone 1% and told me not to wear any makeup until its gone. My eyes have started to feel slightly better already with the cream, so fingers crossed. But what I’d like to know is does anyone have any make up ideas that won’t cause this flare up again? I changed all my make up and brushes to Clinique as thats allergy tested but it’s obviously just made it worse. I didn’t think that brand would, has anyone else had that problem with Clinique? Anyway, any other make up ideas for me please?
