Eczema Treatment Care

Hi has anyone with eczema found a beauty regime that doesnt irritate their skin? When my skin is sore,red and painful, I use hydrocautisone cream (which is prescribed by my GP) but the quality of my skin is very poor.

I know I really need to cleanse, tone and moisturize as well .
I would be grateful for any advice, or personal expierince on the subject thanks.

I have really bad eczema and I don’t have insurance or anything for that matter…lotion usually keeps it under control but in the winter it gets worse. I would like to find a cheap, very very moisturizing lotion for my skin. Or even something I can take or eat to help the matter.

I’ve been using this Aveeno moisturizer with SPF 15 for almost 2 years now and I guess it’s perfect for my skin since I’ve never had any allergic reaction to it. But, I want to use a higher spf coz I want to protect my skin since I have some discoloration but my problem is, I am allergic to Spf. I know it doesn’t make sense right now but my dermatologist told me that the only sunscreen I can use is Presun from Rite Aid. I’ve had Contact Dermatitis before where I broke out due to the Lanolin Oil in lip cosmetics (one of the ingredients) and SPF. But for some reason, I’m not allergic to Aveeno with SPF 15 and I’m very afraid to use something with higher Spf coz I don’t want to have contact dermatitis again. I am using Bio-Oil to moisturize my skin and to help even out my skin tone but I need sunscreen, what should I get? You think I should stick with Aveeno but get the SPF 30 for more protection? or can I just go ahead and buy the Presun sunscreen with Spf 30 since I’m already using Bio-Oil for my moisturizer? ok i have atopic eczema and recently got rid of it with steroid cream. i wash my face then straight after i put on moisturizer and it burns my face. but if i dint put on moisturizer i will get really dry skin. i wash my face only with water and i use epaderm moisteriser?

I’ve developed a rash on my lower arms that appears to be eczema or more specifically atopic dermatitis. I’ve found that the number one thing you can do is moisturize daily. Lotions are not generally recommended because they contain high amounts of water and alcohol that evaporate quickly. What are some brand names of moisturizers that will provide lasting protection against drying of the skin?
