Question by X L: eczema and Vaseline for my 3 months old?
I went to the pediatrician today and he told me my 3 months old baby has eczema(very mild) and I should put a lot of lotion on her face to keep it moisturized. However,I read that “What to expect the first Year” and the book said I should avoid Vaseline.
What do you think?

i never used Vaseline i just used lotion. i used baby lotion and when my daughter got older i started using creams with hydro-cortisone if she got too itchy but i mainly still use lotion. i also avoid using scented detergent and i don’t use fabric softener

You can try some 1% Hydrocortizone cream. This is what my pedi recommended for a dry, red spot on my daughter’s chest and it went away within 3 days.
Good luck!
